What is activated carbon sandwich nonwoven?

Activated carbon sandwich nonwoven is a flexible filter medium that holds granular activated carbon between supporting nonwoven layers. The layered construction helps contain the carbon while allowing the media to be supplied in rolls, sheets or converted pads.

It is used as a gas-phase adsorption and odor-control layer in air purifier, HVAC, fresh-air and other filter components. Final selection depends on the required construction, available installation space, airflow and target odor or VOC.

Sandwich nonwoven or activated carbon nonwoven?

These are two different products. Sandwich nonwoven contains a distinct granular carbon layer between supporting nonwovens. Activated carbon nonwoven fabric is a thinner functional nonwoven incorporating activated carbon.
